Over the past 20 years Jacquie Kaye Dietitian and Nutrition Services has been advocating and providing nutritional support and guidance to clients and their families. We have over 20 years experience in private and public settings, with a clear understanding of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) systems. We are dedicated to understanding and listening to the needs of all individuals.

Specialised Feeds

Sometimes a person cannot eat any or enough food due to an illness. When this occurs nutrition may be provided in a different way. If the person is unable to eat then "specialised feeds", also known as "enteral feeds", must be used. We have extensive knowledge and experience with specialised feeds.

Jacquie Kaye

B. SCIENCE (UQ), GRAD DIP NUTRITION & DIETETICS (QUT), BA (UniSC), APD, AN

Jacquie has over 20 years of professional experience in hospitals, community health care and private practice.

She is passionate about translating her extensive scientific knowledge into easy and practical solutions for her clients.

Jacquie specialises in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and the low FODMAPS diet, having spent over a decade assisting clients reduce their gut symptoms and improving their quality of life.

Jacquie’s passion is to continue to support and guide the community in making better nutrition choices to improve their quality of life.

Amy Cordwell

B. DIETETICS (USC), APD

Amy is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, graduating with Honours. She has experience working within communities on the rural/regional areas of Gympie and the Sunshine Coast, particularly working with those with disabilities.

She is passionate about using her knowledge and skills to create practical solutions for all, especially those living with disabilities in the communities of rural and regional Gympie and the Sunshine Coast.

Growing up living on a cattle farm on the Sunshine Coast, she is inspired to help those in these areas to improve their health and well-being, whilst being practical.

We value your time when making an appointment to discuss specific needs (nutrition, disability, communication), client goals and how we can help you achieve them and where you would like the services to be provided.

This approach ensures you are confident in choosing JK Dietitian and Nutrition Services as your provider and provides us information on how we can deliver your individualised person-centred service at your home.

We have experience with the requirements of NDIS and are skilled in communicating with planners, support coordinators and support workers. This includes documentation for the NDIS such as support plans and reports.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Treatment

The Low FODMAP diet has been medically proven as an effective treatment for people suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Symptoms commonly seen with IBS include abdominal bloating and pain, excess wind, diarrhoea and or constipation.

As part of your individual consultation in your treatment of IBS we provide you with professional guidance and expertise in the application of the FODMAPS diet and provide practical solutions to help you improve your symptoms of IBS. Our dietitians have over a decade of practice in this area and a specialist training in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and the low FODMAPS diet, provided by Dr Sue Shepherd at Monash University.
